1996 Sky News Australia started in 1996.  Its presentation has always borrowed heavily from Sky News. The channel is jointly owned by BSkyB, Seven and Nine.
 
Juanita Phillips (later joined the BBC, CNN and ran a London cafe; currently lead anchor at ABC1 Sydney.)
