
NDR Fernsehen (known as N3 between 1989 and 2001) is the Third Channel operated by the north German broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk together with Radio Bremen and until 1992 Sender Freies Berlin. It broadcasts to the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (from 1992), and the cities of West Berlin (until 1990), Berlin (1990-1992), Hamburg and Bremen.

This and the above clip are both from what became N3 and then NDR Fernsehen - at the time it was operated on behalf of Norddeutsche Rundfunk, Radio Bremen and Sender Freies Berlin and known as "Das Dritte Programm der Nordkette", The Third Channel of the Northern Network, but generally abbreviated simply to "Das Dritte" or "Das Dritte Programm", The Third (Channel).

An N3 ident leads into the titles for the halb 7 (6:30pm) strand and today's programme, "Mehr dazu", roughly translated as "More".
