Click for larger image The 1995 look marked a break with the computer animations of its early years. The new idents were relatively simple live action shots, all on the theme of 3. At the climax, the shot would be blurred and a glass TV3 logo would appear at the center of the screen.

TV3 goes back to computer animation with a new look created by the American broadcast design firm 3 Ring Circus. The word "Viasat" was added to the ring beneath the logo as part of branding effort that associated a the company's TV channels with the satellite platform.

A new look is introduced.

2002 marked a change in tone for TV3's branding, ditching the shiny logos and for simple flat ones. Idents would feature models and hosts in studios. Viasat collaborated with the Stockholm creative studio Visual Art who would produce the idents seen on the channel for the next four years.

The first set of idents featured an orange-black colour scheme and where part of a promotion campaign called "Hot Autumn". They would only air during the autumn of 2002.

A more permanent visual style was introduced in January 2003.

TV3 Ident
2005
Introduced in early 2005 this ident was used in Sweden until the beginning of 2006 as part of a campaign called "We do the entertainment". They were designed by a company called "Visual Art" (www.visualart.se)

What was initially a Pan-Scandinavian channel had been split into three separate ones by 1991, that were gradually becoming more different from each other. But all three channels continued to share the same logo and graphics package for a long time after that, later on also sharing them with the TV3 channels in the Baltics and Hungary.

This lasted until 2009, when management apparently decided that the benefit of giving the TV3 channels distinct local profiles had outweighed the added cost of producing several different graphics packages.

Hence, the Swedish TV3, introduced a completely new logo and look, created by the New York studio Trollbäck + Company.

The other TV3 channels sticked together for some more time, but also got a new look and an updated logo. Their identity was created by the German broadcast design agency DMC.

2009
A completely new style for the TV3 channels was introduced in 2006. Created by the German studio OPIUM effect, the package was dubbed "Nine Degrees". Idents and trailers would end with a sudden nine degree rotation, revealing the TV3 logo.

As the TV3 channels began switching from 4:3 to widescreen, they needed new idents. TV3 turned to UK animation studio We Are Seventeen who produced a series of seasonal idents with animated scenes of everyday life. The sudden nine degree slant was kept.
