Channel Four News gets a computer generated 'high-tech' metallic look in the late 80's. The fashionable reflective metal surfacing was now possible with computer developments at the time, and everybody was at it! Designed by Lesley Friend with computer graphics produced by Cal Video, the sequence took 6 weeks to make and cost £16,000

This was Britain's first business financial tv news service. It started in 1987 presented by Susannah Simons and was broadcast weekday lunchtimes aimed at professionals, savers and spenders.

ITN provided the news for Channel 4's first dip into the Breakfast Television Market. The programme also featured different themed segements produced by independent production companies. Dermot Murnaghan was the anchor for this edition from 1991.
