"Andy Crane" is Mark Granger, who may or may not be the former child actor who appeared in a 1972 episode of Follyfoot directed by Jack Cardiff. He replaced a presenter called Nicky Brown who wasn't there long at all. Following Granger was Jerry Foulkes, future editor of C4's Right To Reply.
