In-vision announcers included Margaret Pritchard, Jenny Ogwen, Dilwyn Young Jones and Sue Powell-Reed. Margaret left HTV when they dispensed with in-vision continuity at the end of 1992. Jenny also left HTV at the end of 1992 and went on to present the weather for S4C. Dilwyn became HTV Wales' main weather presenter in the 1990s and can still be heard announcing on ITV1 Wales.  Sue continues to the present day as one of the voices of ITV1 Wales.

The ITV logo began to feature more prominently alongside that of HTV. By 2001, HTV was also being referred to as ITV1 in Wales.

Here it is. The much talked about 8pm junction on HTV Wales from Monday 2nd July 2001.

Is it Carlton or is it HTV?

HTV Wales (last junction)
2002
Sunday 27th October saw the end of HTV Wales as we knew it. ITV 1 Wales would replace it on Monday 28th October.

How appropriate that the last announcement was made by none other than Dilwyn Young Jones, HTV Wales's longest serving continuity announcer. Check out the red background and no ITV1!
