English language news magazine broadcast by HTV Cymru Wales at 6.15pm for 15 minutes. Incidentally the HTV general service broadcast the first half of Report West at 6.00pm followed by Report Wales at 6.15pm

Wales at 61987 This sequence was designed by HTV senior graphic designer David James. "I chose to avoid well-used pictorial gritty, newsy images and decided upon an abstract, restrained, harmonious sequence of shapes in a choreographed space: I always design sequences as continuous actions if at all possible, such that each action sets the stage for that which is to follow. In this way the action, as well as the imagery, has a dynamic shape. You will notice that the feeling of style acknowledges classicism, and this is enchanced by the used of only two colours."

Introduced by the late Huw Weekes, who died in January 2001, aged just 43. His body was found on a beach near his home in Llantwit Major.

There from the beginning of Wales at Six, this was both the last Wales at Six and Alan's last programme on Friday 25th February 1994. The new team were there to send Alan off.
Wales Tonight1994 / 1995 Wales Tonight - with Nicola Heywood-Thomas and Huw Weekes.
The replacement for Wales at Six, as a result of the move to 6.25pm. Introduced during February 1994, these titles appear to be based around the programmes desk.
Wales Tonight1999 Nicola Heywood-Thomas and Lucy Cohen with the last look of the short lived Wales Tonight from HTV Wales. The theme music was notable in that it managed to incorporate both the National Anthem and ‘Men of Harlech’ into it!

Jonathan Hill joined HTV as a news reporter with in 1993. He has since become a key part of the news team and is still the main presenter of Wales Tonight. In 1999, he became a news anchor for HTV News.
