Click for larger image The end of TVAM's first day. Note that the programme finished at 9.15 rather than 9.25. This was because a period of time was required for transmitters to be switched from the national TVAM service to programming from the regional ITV contractor. TVAM was able to broadcast until 9.25 when this process was able to be done automatically.

The live action sequence, included 2 skydivers with a four foot by two banner for "Good", Pigeons in Trafalger Square filmed at 9.30pm to form the word "Morning" , HMS Hermes and her crew were used for "Britain" and the final shot of 6,000 people were filmed at Durnham Downs in Bristol

After 9 years and 11 months TV-am was no more, beaten to the franchise winning post by GMTV. Here we see the titles to the very last Good Morning Britain, hmm those titles look familiar, ah yes, check out first edition. Cheap skates or what!


TV-am News - Last Bulletin
1992
Shortly after the announcement of it's loss of the ITV Breakfast franchise, TV-am closed it's news service, in favour of specially produced bulletins from Sky News. Lisa Aziz was kept on as presenter, along with a handful of reporters.
 
Right clip - It's goodbye from Sky News to TV-am. Lisa was to stay on at Sky News following the demise of TV-am.
