First Advertistment
After the First Ten Minutes on Meridian came the first advertisment - for the Ford Fiesta Meridian with a cheeky inclusion of the new Meridian TV logo. This advert had been doing the rounds on TVS in the last few months of 1992.
Meridian Ident
There were several different Meridian idents used from 1993, most featured the same animation with different styles of the main identity theme which was compossed by David Dundas - who also compossed the music to the original Channel 4 ident and to the 1989 ITV generic branding.
Meridian Idents
This Meridian ident features a reggae-style rendition of the Meridian theme and was mainly used at weekends.
Meridian Ident
Meridian refreshed their image in 1996 and introduced a new ident featuring purple colours. There were two versions again the same visual animation but with two versions of the theme tune - here the softer 'daytime' version.
Ident
ITV Generic IdentsSpirit of the South had been Meridian's slogan from its initial pre-launch campagin in 1992 and by the turn of the Millennium short stings were used at some junctions featuring the slogan.
