Fred Dinenage, David Bobin and Gareth Evans were the regular presenters of this weekly sports programme which aired usually after Coast to Coast. It also had a sister programme on Sundays.
The titles make a smooth transistion from track to field.

Fred Dinenage presents coverage of the British Isles Indoor Singles bowls competition in a special edition of the Sportshow.
The Saturday Match1983
Like many ITV regions TVS broadcast a regional football programme which included highlights from one of the big games in the region and highlights from the other local matches.
Sunday Sports Club1983
The Sunday Sportshow evolved into the Sunday Sports Club and there doesn't seem to be such a focus on football this time.
Who needs film - the opening titles are made up entirely of still photographs.
Star Kids1983
Fred Dinenage presents this sports competition which aimed to discover the Star Kid of the South. It was divised by former Southampton football club boss Laurie McMenamie who also put in an appearance and explained what the kids had to do.
Star Kids1984
The 1984 series saw Fred looking even more casual - he now had the job of explaining the challenges, which means lots of falling off of things and David Bobin joins to ensure fair play.
The Race is On1984
Sports documentary series following sportsmen and women who compete in less popular sports such as banger racing and triathalon. Various members of the TVS sports team narrated the series. In our examples Fred Dinenage, Gareth Evans and James Montgomery declare The Race Is On.

Whitbread Around The World Race1989
The south coast is a well known destination for sailing activities and TVS covered a great number of theme. Here it's the Whitbread Round The World Race of 1989. The (very 80s) theme tune was also used on other sailing programmes.
Ski Tips1989 Andy Steggall and Liz Wickham take to the slopes for this skiing programme which ran for several series until TVS lost its franchise and was shown across the ITV network.
Channon and Ball1990 David Bobin presents a series of classic football highlights mulled over by two football legends Mick Channon and Alan Ball.

Gareth Evans presents watersports coverage from the Springlakes Country Club near Aldershot.
Supercross/Rally Cross1990?
The differences between these two series - one has two wheels and one has four. Both have David Bobin presenting and use a similar theme tune.
Sail1990/1991
Gareth Evans presents TVS' coverage of the Ultra 30 yaught race. The theme tune was on most sailing programmes on TVS.
Midweek Sport1991
Andy Steggall presents all the midweek sporting action, well the football action at least from a subtly altered Coast to Coast set in Southampton.
The TVS Match1991
Gareth Evans is at Fratton Park for the League Cup third round replay between Portsmouth and Chelsea. The music used on the titles is the same music that was used on the main networked 'The Match' programmes.
TVS Sporting Decade1992
Gareth Evans presents a review of ten years of TVS sport. There were several programmes broadcast shortly before TVS went off the air, this one looked at the best of the rest.
