Yorkshire TV Continuity Junctions
Two full continuity clips here - both clips tell us what is currently on Channel 4 as well as using a holding slide to introduce the next programme. The left clip also features a programme trail for "The Bounder."
Continuity - World Of Sport / Quincy
In the first half of the 1980s YTV introduced its programmes with a holding caption rather than with an ident, as shown in these two continuity clips.
Continuity - Battlestar Galactica / Happy Days
The left clip includes the final moments of the promo informing viewers of the area's commercial radio stations. The promo was also often played as part of the closedown sequence.

Saturday on Yorkshire Promo
From the same morning as the previous clip, a trailer and more continuity.
Closedown
As part of its closedown sequence, Yorkshire Television played a promotion for the region's commercial radio stations. Incidentally, YTV was one of the few regions which did not play the national anthem at closedown, preferring to fade to black after the closedown announcement over the clock.
Turn to Yorkshire Promo
Get up on your roof and Turn your Aerial to Yorkshire. Hmm I don't think Tyne Tees were too impressed!
ITV - The Best Takes Promo
Would you stand in front of a moving lorry? Well apparently ITV would do. They'll do "Whatever It Takes."
Party Political Broadcast - Mistake
How not to do it but YTV viewers get to hear some Thames continuity with lots of apologies. Redvers eventually tells us they are "looking into it technically and hope to get something soon" but the gremlins win.
ILR Promo
A rundown of the ILR stations in the YTV region. This promo was usually shown as part of the closedown routine.
Yorkshire Wednesday Promo
A Sporting Triangle is the main focus of this promo which includes a mention of two other programmes over a full listing of Wednesday evening's programmes.
Continuity
By 1987 YTV was using a rotating chevron to introduce its programmes and, on this occasion, Graham Roberts used it instead of the YTV clock to introduce News At Ten. This clip also includes a local advert.
YTV Promo
A flock of rainbow coloured chevrons introduce us to a trail for "People Do The Funniest Things".
Through The Night Trail
A Through The Night trail from 1988 for the first full 24 hour night for YTV.
Continuity - Through The Night
Another two examples of the Through the Night branding which YTV used for its overnight service until 1992 when Through The Night became Nightshift.

Another Late Night Strand from YTV. The voice you hear is that of Senior Announcer John Crosse.
