ITN News1955
The first ever broadcast was at 10pm on September 22 1955. The 24 year-old former athlete Christopher Chataway (right) was the launch newscaster. The following year he was joined by Ludovic Kennedy and Huw Thomas.

ITN changed its title sequence and music early in 1999 when the weekday news bulletins were retimed, which included the controversial removal of News At Ten. This music was now used across all of ITN's bulletins.
