2002 BBC Four News, produced by the corporation's international news channel World News, launches the UK's first nightly news bulletin dedicated solely to foreign news, fronted by BBC News anchorman George Alagiah.

2005 - Present

BBC Four introduced a set of 6 idents on September 10th 2005 to coincide with their new autumn schedule. Created by BBC Broadcast now Red Bee Media "that challenge viewers to reappraise how they see the world around them. Initially there appears to be only one image on the screen – be it of a swimming pool or bees gathering pollen from flowers - but as the narrative of the sequence unfolds it is revealed that there are actually four separate frames that all act independently."
