1999 Click for larger image Carlton Select was the first of the Carlton family of channels. It was the main entertainment channel broadcasting to the UK via OnDigital and cable. The channel was also broadcast in Africa. Launched in 1997, it later closed in 2000 due to poor viewing figures.
