Rapture Idents2001 Rapture TV was launched on 22nd November 1997 on cable and moved to satellite in 1999. The station has had financial difficulties since it launched, and has closed and relaunched a few times, today it is an online only channel.
Rapture specialised in dance music, but did show computer games programmes and extreme sports.

Rapture Live - was great throught the night live coverage from various dance events in Britain. Call it The Hitman and Her for the next generation!
Viewers could text in, and see their messages appear on-screen, whilst watching everyone dance onscreen

This ident dates back to the original version of Rapture and was used going in and out of breaks, it was typically played around 8 times per hour or 192 times per day!
Right clip - Another ident dating back to the original Rapture, this was used during Rapture's flagship interactive music show, R-Muzik.
Clouds
The Rapture clouds theme was used between 14th November 2005 - 6th November 2006. As these 4 clips illustrate, the 1st clip - the main ident, played at the start of each hour. This version was used from 28th February 2006. 2nd clip sting used during the Wednesday night movie. 3rd clip - A promo for Rapture's weekday afternoon Extreme Sport zone. 4th clip - Highlights for the week ahead, broadcast during January and February 2006.

The red theme was used from 6th November 2006 - present day
Rapture Channel 1932006
Left clip - This ident was played at the start of each hour and was used from 13th November 2006 until 19th March 2007 when Rapture was removed from Channel 193, making it obsolete.
Right clip - Rapture has had an extremely turbulent relationship with BSkyB, and when Rapture was first at risk of being removed from the Sky EPG, this clip was produced to advise viewers as to how they could manually add Rapture to their Sky systems.
Rapture Promos2006
Left clip - Promo for the new series of "G@mers", a weekly gaming show which ran for 54 episodes between November 2005 and December 2006. The first series of G@mers was broadcast by Rapture in 1999 and was also shown on ITV in the Anglia and Meridian regions, due to them being owned by United Business Media which also owned Rapture at the time.
Right clip - Promo for That Film Show, Rapture's weekly movie review show which ran for 54 episodes between November 2005 and December 2006.

Left clip - Promo for Rapture's interactive music service, filmed around Rapture's studios in the Brewer Street/Piccadilly Circus area of London.
Right clip - Promo for Tinsel Town - BBC drama series set in a fictional Glasgow nightclub, originally broadcast on BBC Choice in 2000 and later repeated on BBC Two. It was broadcast on Rapture from May 2006.
