1998 Click for larger image UK Horizons was launched on 1st November 1997 along with UK Style and UK Arena. UK Horizons took it's name from the BBC Two programme Horizon, which formed much of the output on the channel.
 
The channel finally closed down for the last time on 8th March 2004, and was replaced by two new channels UKTV Documentary and UKTV People.
