UK GOLD 2
UK Gold 2 was launched in 2000 showing the same mix of classic family entertainment as UK Gold. In November 2003 it was relaunched as UKG2, a new channel aimed at a younger audience, with an emphasis on Comedy. In March 2004 it became UKTVG2, finally the whole UKTV G2 channel was completely rebranded as Dave in October 2007.

In 2003, UK Gold 2 was renamed UKG2 and shifted its emphasis to programming, mainly comedy, aimed at younger people. This clip features the launch of the channel which as you can see reflects this change towards a younger demographic.
DAVE
UKG2 was relaunched as Dave which sparked a trend in channel name rebrands. It was possibly one of the most successful digital channel rebrands to date.
