Sky Arts Ident1990
The Sky Arts brand was previously used back in 1990, following the merger of Sky Television and British Satellite Broadcasting when it acquired the rights to BSB's arts programming. BSB's Now channel became Sky Arts at the weekends up until December 1992.
Artsworld / Sky Arts
Sky Arts was formerly known as Artsworld. It was rebranded Sky Arts in March 2007. BskyB took over as 100% shareholder in June 2005, and with all its 100% owned channels, it became a Sky branded channel. The previous Artsworld channel was launched in 2000 by former Channel 4 Chief Executive Jermey Issacs
