Sky Scottish launched 1st November 1996 at 6pm. It was a joint venture between Sky and Scottish TV owners SMG plc. Broadcasting initially for a couple of hours each night 6pm-8pm after Granada Talk TV, later Sky Box Office 3. The channel closed down in June 1998 due to poor viewing figures.
